All Heraldry inquiries are free of charge. In
the past we have helped answer questions and researched Arms in Italy,
France and Hungry. Contact us via email or just post a question in
our guest book.
-- Heraldic Authority?
Our small design shop is not a legal Heraldic
Authority like the types found in Europe or the British Commonwealth. Their fees and
restrictions are QUITE high and in all honesty, place Heraldry out
of the grasp of many normal citizens. Since the USA has no formal
Heraldic authority, the MHC protects its designs under the standard
copyright restrictions afforded works of art. Once a design is completed the Arms are transferred
to the client...
- We claim no right to a Coat
of Arms after its completion;
- We claim no authority over
any Foreign Heraldic authority;
- We do our level best to stay
within the bounds of British Heraldic Law, but like good colonists
we reserve the right to adapt as we see fit and change to accommodate
the times;
- We believe the only authorities
we must answer too are those listed below:
- Our Roll of Arms Membership;
- US copyright law; and
- Of course, good taste...

humor. Funny T-Shirts make the world go round. Also as member of the
American Roll of Independent Arms your Arms can be added to the T-Shirt
site for free, so that at your leisure you can order shirts, hats,
mouse pads and hoodies with your Arms on them. You can buy one at
a time or in bulk. There are no restrictions.

What
type of service do you provide? We provide
a resource for Americans of all backgrounds interested
in creating or reviving their own Heraldic traditions...
We can create Coats of Arms (shields), badges, flags,
banners, standards, personal seals, organizational emblems,
logos, bookplates, patches, stickers or anything else
you may need to represent yourself, your family, organization
or event. On a case by case basis our company will also
help you conduct your own Heraldry research for a small
fee. If you need a shield blazoned or an ancient Coat
of Arms traced, the Modern Heraldry Company might be able
to track it down for you...
What
makes this site different from all of the other "bucket
shops" on the web? For starters we are NOT
a "bucket shop". Those shops look up your last name and
find a Coat of Arms awarded to some person centuries ago
and tell you that this is your Coat of Arms. Believe us,
it is not. We design ORIGINAL Coats of Arms for people
to use and enjoy in their daily lives. We design everything
from shields, to badges, bookplates, supporters, mottos,
mantles stamps and much more...

large glossary of Heraldic terms that can help to translate
the diverse world of Heraldry into modern concepts. The
