(1) Look through the products to decide what is best for you and whether you wish to petition for a normal Coat of Arms, a Complex Coat of Arms (larger) or a clerical design... (See the F.A.Q.’s for more help in deciding.)

(2) Download the "Modern Heraldry Interview Form" and fill out the questions as best you can. Your answers will help the herald design a shield that best represents your wishes. Email the Modern Heraldry company your responses to the "orders" inbox. Please include your mailing address for the prints...

(3) Once the funds to cover your petition are received, the artist will contact you and will review your email response in order to design the best Coat of Arms for you or your institution...

(4) When the final design is agreed upon, all the deliverables will be sent out and your name and shield will be added to the American Roll of Independent Arms. Please note designs usually take about 2 months to complete due to changes, petitioner responsiveness and clarifications...

(5) NOTE: If the petitioner does not contact the designer for two months without explaination, the MHC will reserve the right to stop all work on the project. The person will have to pay again to begin work on their design. This measure is to insure designs aren't filling up the queue and wasting the time of other petitioners...
